How to choose your sofa bed

Eight short steps — how many people sleep on it, how much room you have, which mattress you want, with or without chaise longue, the armrests, the fabric, the lead time and the checks before ordering — and you arrive at the right model. The guide is written for our collection, with the real dimensions from the catalogue.

01How many people sleep on it?

Choose the size of the sofa by its mattress, not by how big it looks. The armchair bed has a 70 cm mattress (one person), the 2-seater — 100 or 120 cm (one person comfortably, two occasionally), the 3-seater — 140, 150 (Queen) or 160 cm (MAX), i.e. a real double bed. The mattresses are 195 cm long (200 cm for Sirio and Vega).

02How much wall space do you have?

The width of the sofa = the mattress + the two armrests. That's why the same “3 seats” has different widths from one model to another: slim armrests gain centimetres, wide ones add them. Measure the wall, subtract 5–10 cm for breathing room, and look in the table for the models that fit. Also take into account the depth with the bed open (207–222 cm) — leave room to walk past the bed.

03Which mattress?

Each model comes with a type of mattress, listed in the catalogue by thickness:

The thinnest, for guests and occasional use. The sofa stays slim and light.

The “everyday” thickness: comfortable for regular sleeping, without making the sofa thicker.

04With or without chaise longue?

The chaise longue turns the sofa into a corner sofa: a long spot to stretch out your legs, with a reversible chaise longue and storage box. On almost all models the chaise longue is reversible — you fit it on the left or the right — and has a box for blankets and cushions. Choose it if you have a free corner and want storage space; choose the straight version if the wall is short or the sofa sits in the middle of the room.

05The armrests

Some models have armrests of your choice: Standard (wide, suitable for leaning on), Classic (rounded) and Slim (thin — the sofa gains centimetres of mattress at the same overall width). The armrest width is listed on each model's page; the configurator recalculates the overall width when you change the armrest.

06The fabric

All sofas can be ordered in any of the more than 120 fabrics in the palette. In short:

Flow Soft chenille

Chenille fabric with a velvety feel, 26 colours. Durable, easy to maintain.

Queens Microfibre velvet

Microfibre velvet, with a uniform look and intense colours. Also used on fast-delivery models.

Valerie Bouclé

Bouclé fabric with a rich texture, in natural tones.

Frida Faux leather

Leather-look material, easy to clean, suitable for families with children or pets.

Giulia Textured fabric

Structured fabric with a thick yarn and a natural look, very resistant to wear.

Rubens Chenille

Soft chenille with a slightly marbled look, 14 colours. Samples can be seen in the showroom; also used on fast-delivery models.

Moby Embossed fabric

Honeycomb-embossed (bubble) fabric, 15 colours. Samples can be seen in the showroom; also used on the fast delivery models.

Candy Fast delivery only

A collection that appears only in certain fast-delivery combinations (Afrodite, Maia); it has no photographed samples — see it in the showroom.

For homes with children or pets, leather-look materials and microfibre are the easiest to clean; chenille and bouclé are the softest to the touch. View the whole palette or request samples so you can feel them before you order.

07When will you receive it?

08Before you order

Measure the wall and leave 5–10 cm free on each side.
Check the depth with the bed opened and the walking space.
Check the width of your doors, hallway and stairs — we'll tell you the shipping dimensions of the model you chose.
See the colour in person, in the showroom — screens can change it.
Choose payment: bank transfer.
